SOUTH CRAVEN School pupil Mathew Langstaff will soon be heading to England's centre of sporting excellence to prepare for a big future as a rugby player.
Matthew, 13, began playing the game with Cougar Cubs when he was just six years of age.
He progressed through the club's team at each age group land was recently a member of the Keighley Pumas before being picked to represent Keighley & District Schools.
He has also gained County honours playing rugby league for Yorkshire at Under-013 level.
Next month he will travel to Loughborough to join the National Player Development Camp at Under-13 level.
He has already had to undergo medical tests to make sure he is fully fit to take part and although he suffers from asthma he is determined to go as far as possible in the game.
