Punjabi poetry and music were celebrated at a special event organised by Sikhs in Bradford.
The celebration at the Punjabi Community Centre, Usher Street, attracted a gathering of 250 people.
They were treated to performance poetry from four poets, including three who were visiting the city from Birmingham.
Govinder Dhaliwal, president of the Bradford Educational and Cultural Association of Sikhs, said: "It's the 16th time we have done this, we do it every year. It went very well, everyone enjoyed it.
"Some of the poetry was very humorous, about living life in England. We are very grateful to our sponsors, Yorkshire Arts, for their help and contribution." Pictured waxing lyrical are Harbans Singh Jandu and Lok Kaui Autar Singh Arpan.
