Bradford IT security company ECSC has assured customers they have nothing to fear from Code Red. The firm says it already has a system in place to stop the new Internet 'worm virus', due to cause havoc from yesterday.
The business spotted the loophole which allows the worm to spread back in June, and took the necessary action to protect its clients' web servers. Senior partner Ian Mann said: "We have received calls from concerned clients regarding the situation. We have been delighted to inform them our unique firewall protection has been blocking the worm virus and recording incidents for our analysis."
