A SPLENDID knock of 43 not out from Kevin Page assisted Bramhope to a four wickets win over Scarcroft which keeps them at the top of Division One.
Bramhope put Scarcroft in to bat and soon had them in trouble on a surprisingly wet wicket. Mark Gregson put up some resistance with a knock of 64 but Scarcroft were bowled out for 104.
In reply Bramhope made a brisk start but then lost wickets and were left struggling at 51-5. Page rescued things and only one further wicket was lost in gaining victory.
The second team put visitors Oulton in to bat and soon bowled them out for 147. Andy Wood took 5-45 and Nick Boyes 3-33.
In reply Bramhope struggled against some tight bowling and lost early wickets. However, a resolute 64 not out from opener John Lawson and a supporting 26 from David Wood enabled Bramhope to reach victory with two wickets in hand.
