Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a Keighley man and his wife after their bodies were discovered in a fire-ravaged house in South Africa.
A murder investigation was launched into the deaths of Haworth man Bob Green and his Dutch-Canadian wife Joy in May.
The couple had been found in the bedroom of their burnt out home in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Mozambique-born brothers Moses and Johan Mamba, 23 and 20, have been charged with the couple's murder, both have been remanded in custody.
A spokesman for Johannesburg Police said: "Two men have been charged with the murder of Mr and Mrs Green. They have been remanded in custody and will appear in court on August 14."
Bob Green's younger brother Jack welcomed the news of the arrests.
The 57-year-old, from Wardle Crescent in Keighley, said: "This is the first we have heard of it, we have to rely on e-mails to keep us up to date. We are happy if someone has been caught for this crime.
"If the murder charges are correct then I hope they are given three life sentences and spend the next 99 years in jail.
"People are getting robbed and killed over there all the time for nothing.
Two poor white people have been murdered and that's nothing over there compared to all the things happening. I'm just glad to hear some positive news at long last."
Police investigating their deaths said security gates and the front door of the house had been forced open, and neighbours had reported hearing people running from the scene.
The police treated the deaths as murder from the start of the investigation and they believed that the Green's house had been burgled, but due to the fire it was a long process to discover if anything had been stolen.
Bob Green was born in Haworth and lived in Fern Street, before emigrating to South Africa 40 years ago, where he met his wife Joy.
The 65-year-old attended Lees School and the old Haworth Secondary Modern, before becoming an apprentice Blacksmith with T&S Gledhill of Alice Street Keighley.
After completing two years National Service with the Grenadier Guards, he worked for 18 months with Northern Metal Spraying, in Marriner Road, Keighley.
He then emigrated to South Africa where he worked as a manager for the former Pilkington Tiles (UK).
Bob and Joyce Green had one son, Christopher, who died 15 years ago.
Mr Green's 90-year-old mother from Haworth is still struggling to come to terms with the loss.
