A Bradford couple who are dead ringers for two glamorous celebrities have been snapped up by a lookalikes agency - on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

Postman Matthew Middleton, who is often mistaken for England skipper and Manchester United midfield general David Beckham, has signed with the London office of Mirror Images.

And his girlfriend Danielle Constantine, who is a mirror image of the actress Sarah Jessica Parker who plays Carrie in Channel 4's Sex and the City, is clinching a deal with the Hollywood branch of the celebrity agency.

"We can't believe our luck - who knows what it could lead to," said 28-year-old Danielle, who is branch manager of a Bradford recruitment consultancy.

"And the same day that we got the news I also got a promotion at work so we had two reasons to celebrate.

"The agency is coming up to take photographs of me and hopefully it will lead to lots of work in America."

Matthew, 25, was featured in the Telegraph & Argus last week after taking part in a TV lookalikes competition.

He is regularly asked to sign autographs by Beckham fans convinced he is their hero.

He and Danielle were spotted at the filming of LWT's Celebrities and their Doubles by the agency which later approached them and put them on their books.

Bill Hickey, casting director with Mirror Images UK, said: "I spotted them at the auditions and thought they were both excellent.

"I do have a couple of David Beckhams but Matthew is very good and very enthusiastic, and Danielle is our only Sarah Jessica Parker and will probably be working through the Hollywood office."

Matthew, of Greengates, will be doing his first job with another agency, Susan Scott Look Alikes, when he poses as the Premiership star at the launch of a charity website launch in London on August 15.

"It's amazing to think I'll be getting £150 an hour - that's almost as much as I earn in a week," he said.

"Ideally I would like to do modelling, not lookalike stuff, but until David Beckham changes his look this is the only kind of work I'll get."

And Danielle has also been approached by another company in Las Vegas.

"It's not sinking in yet but soon we could be looking at moving to London and I could be jetting off to America to do jobs now and then - it's incredible," she said.
