Ingrow Cricket Club held their annual pubs and clubs competition last weekend.

Eight teams took part in the event at the Hainworth ground with representatives from The Sun (Haworth), Keighley Albion, Brittanic Lifts, The Welcome Inn, The Victoria Hotel, Ingrow Conservative Club, The Bridge Inn and St Pauls Boys Boxing Club who had made the trip over from Hull.

The competition was played in two groups of four with each playing each other with the winners of the group section meeting in the final. St Pauls won their group by winning their games against The Bridge Inn, The Welcome Inn and Brittanic Lifts.

The other group was more even with three teams ending with two wins each. The Sun team went through to the final which was a rather one-sided event with the youngsters from Hull coming out worthy winners.

Ingrow Chairman, Mr Brian Hudson, thanked all the teams who had taken part and club members who had worked hard to stage the event. Club President Mr Philip Sharpe presented the trophy and mementoes to the finalists.
