SAFRAZ AHMED showed why Woodlands are battling for promotion at the top of the Bowes section of the league, when he demolished Keighley's batting line-up last weekend.
The Keighley side are sitting in mid-table and could find no answer as Safraz picked up six for 38 to leave the Keighley innings in tatters.
Openers Ross Towler and Lee Gordon scored nine runs each and on Steve Reape showed the kind of fighting spirit with the bat that was badly needed. He scored 25 before becoming another Ahmed victim.
Wickets fell at regular intervals and only a knock of 12 from Dale Towler and A Robinson's brief flurry which made him only the third batsman to reach double figures, lifted them clear of total humiliation.
The total of 83 was not going to be enough to stop the league leaders in their tracks, but they did not get everything their own way.
Woodlands were made to wait for victory as the Keighley bowling attack turned on the style to claim several cheap wickets.
But the Lawkholme batsmen had simply not got enough runs and the visitors made it to a five wicket win.
