Detectives investigating the hit-and-run death of a pensioner have received several calls after his son offered a reward in a bid to catch the killer.
The Telegraph & Argus reported on Wednesday how Christopher Atherton, 50, had put up a £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his father Harry's killer.
The 85-year-old war veteran suffered multiple injuries when he was knocked down as he crossed Saltaire Road at around 3pm on Friday, June 1.
He was hit by a stolen blue Mazda 626 and died in hospital from his injuries nine days later.
The man police are looking for is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s, about 5ft 8in and slim with short brown or ginger hair, brushed forward at the front, and a spotty or scarred face.
The Mazda, stolen from the Shell garage on Bingley Road in Saltaire, was dumped on Crag Road in Windhill.
Anyone with any information should call police on (01274) 537422 or (01535) 617059.
