Young people have been using music and computers during a summer scheme at the Foyer Project, West Bowling.
The group of 30 teenagers aged ten to 16 have jumped at the chance to brush up on their education during the long summer break.
They have been revising for SATs exams, gaining health awareness and carrying out tasks to support school work.
"This is a worthwhile project to help young people catch up on their studies while having a good time during the break," said Councillor Allan Hillary, lead member for the youth service.
"It's good to see so many organisations working together to provide this valuable service."
The scheme is a joint effort between the youth service, the McMillan Playground Association (MAPA), the Foyer Project and the African Caribbean Achievement Project (ACAP).
