Addingham builder Mark Dale edged nearer winning the 125cc Auto 66 road racing championship on his Coffeecare Honda at Elvington.
He grabbed three second places in the championship races to build on his strong scoring record in this year's series.
Leeds contender Stuart Gregory also proved to be a consistent performer. He gathered points from third, fourth and fifth place finishes.
The Halifax pair of Dan Clark and Nigel Mayers also performed well on their Honda sidecar outfit. They recorded a second, third and two fourth-place finishes.
British quad champion Paul Winrow won all his races on his ATV Direct Yamaha machine at Castleside, Durham in the fourth round of the National NETT Quad Championships.
He then borrowed a solo Suzuki to thrash all but the first four experts in the solo classes.
Paul had previously ridden a solo motorcross machine for five years.
More than 30 riders took part in the event including Richard Tordoff, from Halifax.
He finished third on his Honda machine in the overall championship classification and is now in third place in the series too.
Support Championship contender James Smith - a Lothersdale haulier - found his Drumclog and Knockhill jinx still hovering over him in the second race.
He said: "I tried to make a pass on a tight corner near the pits, there was not enough room and I ended up underneath my Honda but I got going and scored five points.
"At least I have scored 38 points overall so I am still in with a chance."
The overall class winner was Rochdale decorator Martin Lord who extended his lead in the Support series over Smith.
Smith has the ability to win single races but not all three on the same day.
When he shakes off the one race blues he will be really on track for a British title..
Bradford's Mark Taylor, riding a Yamaha 426, won the A class juniors event.
