A massive blanket being created by a squad of knitters in Idle, Bradford, is to have the Telegraph & Argus initials emblazoned on it.
The village is bidding to create a record-breaking blanket to mark the Idle Tide feast in September.
And 72-year-old Margaret Goy, pictured left with Lynn Strickland, said she decided to create the letters 'T&A' to thank the paper for its support.
"We have had lots of coverage and because of that a lot of people have got knitting," she said.
Organisers are also seeking sponsorship at £1 a square to raise money for a number of cancer charities.
Lynn, who has women regularly knitting in her hairdressers salon in Bradford Road, said: "We have now opened an account at HSBC bank and called it the Idle Tide Blanket Appeal."
