Bingley Harriers' grand opening fun day at the new Beckfoot School headquarters was a big success.
The day's Pulton Cup events in various junior age groups ended with Hannah Mayho and Jennifer Hopkinson being named joint overall winners.
The Harriers' own mascot Hound Dog won a special challenge 50m sprint featuring Bullman, Brewster the Bear, Sherlock and Blaise the Bear.
Presentations were also made to athletes who scored the most points in the McDonalds Points for Points Awards Scheme throughout the year, donated by the Shipley branch of the restaurant. The Patrick Meegan young athlete of the year award went to Megan Routledge.

l Bingley Harriers were unable to field a set of complete teams at the North of England Road Relay Championships at Carlisle.
Liverpool Harriers won the under 17 women's race in a combined time of 24.08. The Bingley team of Louise Naylor, Rebecca Holmes and Louise Geldart finished in eighth position in 27.04 just in front of Keighley & Craven A who came ninth in 27.20 with Laura Greenham 8.54, Charlotte Leng 9.22 and Kasleigh Greenham 9.04.
Keighley's B team of Nicola Leng, Rachael Hanson and Nicola Mahomet finished in 13th place in 30.02. The under 17 men's race was won by Gosforth in 51.08 and Bingley again finished in eighth.
The under-15 boys team race was once again won by Liverpool Harriers in a time of 52.46. Bingley finished 19th in a time of 1.02.25 Alistair Brownlee was the fifth fastest first leg runner in 13.38. In the under 15 girls Rebecca Long, seventh, and Lucy Mayho, fifth, put Bingley in contention. Unfortunately there was no final leg runner due to illness.

Under 15 boys 19th: Alistair Brownlee (5th) 13.38, Jack Wilson (13th) 15.01, Mark Sitti (16th) 15.30, Phil Picken (19th) 18.16. Under 17 women 8th: Louise Naylor (12th) 9.13, Rebecca Holmes (11th) 9.10, Louise Geldart (8th) 8.41. Under 17 men 8th: Sam Clegg (2nd) 12.31, Mark Hardman (7th) 14.01, Robert Daly (8th) 13.33, Luke Johnson (8th) 13.35.
