Ilkley residents have joined a teenager in his fight to save a park's prehistoric stones.
Student Ian Chamberlain, 18, met parish councillors and other residents to discuss saving the Panorama Stones in St Margaret's Park, Queen's Road.
A new committee chaired by Ian aims to protect and preserve the cup-and-ring marked stones, which date from between 2800 and 500 BC. Members have discussed the possibility of keeping the stones at their current location and creating a heritage trail, linking them with others on Rombalds Moor.
Dr Peter Harnett, the man behind the Darwin Gardens Millennium Green, said: "Every possible support should be given to Ian - it sounds a wonderful idea."
Ian has launched a petition to establish public opinion.
