Horsforth'S first civic service since 1976 was held to great success at St Margaret's Church at the weekend.
John Brodwell, Chairman of the Town Council, organised the event because he thought it was time to start the services up again to celebrate the spirit of the township, and hopes it will become an annual event.
He said: "I wanted to bring together the people of Horsforth for a service of celebration.
"It was a lovely event, and very well attended, and I hope we can have a repeat next year."
