Footballer Karl James Brown has achieved his goal.
Karl - who plays for the Three Horses football team and also plays cricket for Haworth - was married at St John's Parish Church, Cullingworth, to Sally Jane Dyson.
The bridegroom - a team leader with the Green Flag Group in Leeds - is the younger son of Peter and Margaret Swift, of Main Street, Stanbury.
Sally - a personnel administrator with the Britannic Lift Company at Riddlesden - is the middle daughter of Trevor and Jennifer Dyson, of Westhill Avenue, Cullingworth.
The bride wore an antique cream gown of duchess satin with a sweep train. The halter neck bodice of cream and silver was embroidered in blue and gold. Her headdress - in antique gold, with pearls - held a short cream veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream anemones, carnations and champagne roses.
Matron of honour was Helen Clough (bridegroom's sister) and bridesmaids were Claire and Helen Dyson (bride's sisters) and Vicki Marshall.
They wore light gold slim dresses in duchess satin with short trains. They carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet and wore matching fresh flowers in their hair.
Pageboy was Luke Harrison.
Best man was Damian Rowell and ushers were Jonathan Swift (bridegroom's stepbrother), Jamie Rowell, Richard Powell, Christopher Smith and Peter Lohan.
