TELEVISION superstar David Jason took a break from filming last week to share a joke with Ilkley Gazette work experience student Eleanor Lockwood.
Fifteen-year-old Eleanor - pictured right with the actor - jumped at the chance to meet the star of Inspector Frost, Only Fools and Horses and Open All Hours, when she found out he was making a new drama using the Kings Hall/Winter Garden complex in Ilkley as a background.
Based loosely on an episode in his early years, the one-off film, to be screened on ITV next year, follows a group of teenage boys who head north on their motorbikes on holiday in search of adventure.
The old-style look of the Ilkley entertainment complex exactly fitted the bill for the comedy drama which is set in 1959.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Television, which is producing the drama, said: "It went very well. It was the perfect location to capture the era that David grew up in."
