Two Shipley organisations are to help hundreds of disabled folk and needy youngsters at Christmas.
With Christmas coming, Shipley Lions and the Rotary Club of Shipley are calling on the community to back their festive efforts.
The Lions want local businesses to ensure their Christmas shopping night for the disabled is a success while the Rotarians are asking people to roll up to the town's Asda store when they wheel out the trimmings for their annual Christmas Tree Appeal for children across the area.
The Lions' festive shopping night will see disabled people from Shipley and Baildon ferried into town for shopping at Asda on December 5.
Lions president Maureen Verity said: "The cost of hiring a minibus for the evening is about £32 and if any businesses want to fund the cost of one, we'd be delighted to hear from them.''
Any organisations interested in sponsoring the Lions' disabled shopping evening should call Mrs Verity on (01274) 493460 or Jeff Thompson after 6pm on (01274) 599815.
Rotary club members meanwhile are reminding people to look out for their Christmas tree, due to be set up in Asda's foyer for five days from Monday December 3.
