Having won the Tetley's Super League Grand Final, the thoughts of new champions Bradford Bulls today turned to the World Club Championship.
The match against NRL champions Newcastle Knights from Australia has been pencilled in for Saturday, January 26.
"We would like it to be played at Valley Parade in front of 25,000 people," said Bulls chairman Chris Caisley.
"Bulls will talk to Super League (Europe) Limited today and we hope to start discussions soon with Bradford City.
"Firstly, however, we have got to hope that Newcastle come, and secondly that there is no freeze-up as City don't have undersoil heating."
There will be a civic reception for the Bulls next Sunday. An open-top bus will leave Odsal at noon along Stadium Road, going down Manchester Road and reaching Centenary Square via Prince's Way at about 12.20pm.
The players will not be going into City Hall until 1.30pm, and the reception is likely to last an hour, the whole occasion finishing about 3pm.
Caisley said: "It is a chance for us to say thanks to our supporters, and it would be nice if every one of the 20,000 or so Bulls fans at Old Trafford could see us next Sunday."
