About 1,000 people looked in at Littlemoor Park, Queensbury, to watch Yorkshire Radio Controlled Model Car Racing Club's four hour relay race. The event was a big success, with nine teams from all over the country competing for the Duckham's mini-marathon. The cars, about 20 inches long and powered by 3 cc motors, can travel at around 60 mph.

As the first visitors arrived at the Earl's Court Motor Show, which opened today, their attention was drawn to Britain's smallest car - the new Austin Seven. The return of one of the world's most popular cars marks a determined step cheaper and more economical motoring. The Seven will cost £507 1s. 2d. ( basic price £325 , Purchase Tax £182 1s. 2d.)
