AUCTIONEER Ben Atkinson will be raising his gavel for two good causes in Otley.
Mr Atkinson, director of Wharfedale Farmners Auction Mart, will be urging people to bid at an auction in aid of the Walk On Appeal to raise money for the rebuilding of The Pavilion, at the Weston Lane Junior Sports Club building, Otley.
And next month he will be encourahging people to splash out at an auction for Otley Methodist Church's restoration appeal.
The Weston Lane auction, which will be held on Monday, October 29 at Wharfedale Farmers Auction Mart, Leeds Road, Otley, is set to include all sorts of items from books and furniture to jewellery and household goods.
The auction will start at 6pm, viewing from 4pm.

Meanwhile, Leeds United shirts and Red Arrows posters will be up for grabs at a fundraising auction for Otley Methodist Church's £300,000 restoration appeal in November.
And already a wide range of goodies from a signed Leeds United football shirt and Red Arrows memorabilia to golfing days at Hollings Hall Hotel and babysitting offers have been promised for the event.
A catalogue listing all the items due to be sold off will be put out by the end of the month and auctioneer will again be Ben Atkinson.
People not able to get to the auction will also be able to send in bids to Stuart Holman, care of Otley Methodist Church.
The auction will be held on November 17 from 7.30pm at Otley Methodist Church, Boroughgate, Otley.
