Guiseley AFC supporters, saddened by their side's abject performance against new leaders Ossett Town, will not be heartened by manager Neil Parsley's words when he said of Tuesday's performance at North Ferriby "we were even worse than Saturday."

Guiseley went down 3-0 at North Ferriby and Parsley feels that the side can now only be improved by an influx of four or five players.

"Initially I was just looking for strikers but after the last two performances it is obvious there are a number of areas where we need to strengthen. I have been totally let down by a lack of commitment and it is obvious now that we have a lack of quality."

Parsley said that central defender Gary Strodder has now left the club. Strodder came back into the side after injury on Saturday at the expense of crowd favourite Simon Phillips and some sections of the crowd made their feelings clear as a pedestrian Guiseley defence was overrun by Ossett Town.

Parsley said of the Ferriby game: "We started slowly and conceded a sloppy goal. We had our best spell 20 minutes or so before the interval when we played a decent passing game and their 'keeper had to make good saves from Nicky Hey and Peter Sumner. However, it seems that we did not want to get hurt where it really matters - in their penalty box. Just like Saturday we huffed and puffed without really creating anything and we did not deserve anything out of the game.

"On Saturday we bottled it after conceding that penalty."
