A couple who are well-known to staff and shoppers in a Shipley supermarket are set to become familiar faces across the region.
Geoff Smith and his wife Maureen, pictured, have been chosen to appear in Asda's next round of advertisements and will feature on huge billboards and in newspapers.
They have shopped at the Shipley store since it opened 17 years ago.
Geoff, who had pictures taken with his wife at Asda's store in Rooley Lane, Bradford, is not daunted by the prospect of seeing himself enlarged on 48 billboards in the region. He commented: "We really enjoyed having our pictures taken for the advert and can't wait to see ourselves on one of the posters."
Richard Hodgson, corporate marketing director, said: "As 'regulars' Geoff and Maureen, like most customers, are well known in our Bradford and Shipley stores.
"We wanted to promote Asda's quality, customer service and personality, as well as value and I can't think of a better way of doing this than using a couple who have experienced all this first hand for the past 17 years."
