Bradford firefighters have raised £9,000 for colleagues killed in the New York terrorist attacks.
Crews from the central station took their collection buckets to the streets of Bradford city centre on Friday and Saturday and raised a total of £9,084.36.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire Service said there was an excellent response to the firefighters' efforts.
He said: "There have been collections all over the county. The crews felt this was something they really wanted to do.
"The bigger fire stations have, generally, collected more than quieter ones but there has been a good response.
"We will collate all the collections and send them to America."
About 340 firefighters were killed as they tried to rescue people from the World Trade Centre, scene of the two New York terrorist attacks on September 11.
