Wharfedale's Dave Lister will be doubly honoured tomorrow in their National League Two game at Orrell.
Not only will the second row break the record for consecutive appearances at National League level, but he has also been made captain for the day.
It will be the former Keighley player's 89th successive start for the Dalesmen, topping the 88 of Exeter's Andy Maunder, set when no more than 11 league matches were played in a season, compared to today's almost weekly diet.
The 6ft 5ins 16st lock, 28 today, began his run on March 14, 1998, at home to Morley. But Lister, nicknamed 'Dude', has only just surpassed Wharfedale's record for consecutive appearances, flanker Hedley Verity chalking up 86 matches before missing the Camberley fixture last January.
The Greens are without skipper Andy Hodgson, who is still injured after being taken off against Esher. Neil Heseltine replaces him at outside centre.
Fly-half Simon Binns, centre Phil Greaves and No 8 Jon Burke, who all missed last weekend's Senior Knockout Cup victory over Bracknell, return for Otley's National League One trip to Coventry. Ian Shuttleworth therefore reverts to full back, centre Mark Billington drops out and young Andrew Boyle is replaced in the back row, Phil Griffin moving to blind-side flanker from No 8.
The Bees and Cleckheaton face difficult away trips in North One and North Two East respectively.
Hull Ionians have proved too tough for the Wagon Laners in the past at Brantingham Park.
Visiting coach Matt Greenwood said: "Ionians had a very good 18-11 home league win against Darlington last Saturday and will be confident of beating us. But the pressure is all on them."
Cleckheaton are at Stockton, who have won three out of four so far this season.
The visitors recall centre John Bentley, prop Dave Dorkin, hooker Simon Wragg and lock Craig Rika.
Keighley, 15-12 winners in the Intermediate Cup last Saturday, are back at Stack's Field tomorrow for a Yorkshire Two match, and recall Nigel Curr on the wing, John Duffy at prop and Paul Salmon at flanker.
Bradford Salem, who have recalled flanker Steve Cowman, are at Bramley Phoenix in Yorkshire Two - a repeat of last season's Aire-Wharfe Cup semi-final.
Baildon select from 18 for their Yorkshire Three match at home to Danum Phoenix. Wibsey include goal-kicking centre Richard King in their 19 at home to Withernsea in yorkshire six.
