MICK WARD saved Silsden in a close encounter with Golcar United.
They were 1-0 down at the break after Chris Fawcett had scored an opener for the home side. Ward scored the second half goal which rescued a point for Silsden and kept them level on points in a four-team race at the top of the table.
Phoenix put their stuttering early season form behind them to second a 1-0 victory over Marsden. Both clubs are struggling in the lower reaches of the Premier Division, but Danny Spencer scored the first half goal which lifted them above Marsden.
The new strike force of Jimmy Spencer and Craig Labbett played well together while Roy mason and Ben Furness limited Marsden's attacking options.
Steeton kept up their charge at the top of Division One with a 3-0 victory over Rawdon Old Boys.
They are just one point behind top club Tyersal and determined to chase all the way to promotion this season. J Gaudiosi scored the only goal of the first half and he was backed up by strikes from J Longley and Ian Craven to secure maximum points.
Keighley Shamrocks were well on their way to picking up three points against Farnley when the match was abandoned.
Shammies were 3-1 up when the game was abandoned in the 77th minute. when the game descended into a free for all.
There were heated exchanges between the sides after string of reckless tackles and the referee called a halt after the situation boiled over.
The referee's report will now go to the league and the West Riding FA.
The Keighley Phoenix reserve team are also performing well, giving Brighouse Town reserves a tough time at the top of Reserve Division One. Mick Johnson scored both goals in their 2-0 victory over Lower Hopton on Saturday to pullup to within two points of Brighouse.
Shamrocks Reserves also pulled out all the stops with a 5-3 victory over Salts. They were 3-2 down at the break, but opened up in the second period to secure a 5-3 victory. Goals were scored by M Dykes (2), A Dykes, S Wilkinson and S Wilson who made the game safe with a superb free kick.
Silsden are top of Reserve Division Two and showed they class with a 7-3 victrory over Heckmondwike Town. Andy Nelson scored four and he was backed up by S Hinds (2) and M Whitaker.
Steeton held on for a 1-1 draw against Eastmoor. A Lamb gave the Steeton second string a 1-0 lead at half time, but Steve Cawley secured a draw for the Eastmoor side.
