Table-topping Oxenhope Recreation stamped their authority on the league with a 7-2 win over Keighley Lifts.

They quickly established a 2-0 lead with goals from Steve Murray and Simon Knaggs and although Lifts pulled a goal back before the break, a strike by Steven Potts reclaimed their two-goal cushion.

Oxenhope completely dominated the second-half and while Lifts managed a consolation goal, the home side romped to victory with two further goals from James Bailey, a second from Knaggs and the final strike from David Collier.

Skipton Bulldogs suffered their first league defeat since May 1999 when they were beaten 2-1 by Carleton. Nicklaus Manger scored the opener and Carleton extended their lead with a curling shot from Mark Webb. Bernard scored ten minutes from time for Dogs, but Carleton held on for victory.

Bronte Wanderers and Skipton LMS, the clubs in second and third place in the table, fought out a 2-2 draw in a game where excellent goalkeeping by Shaun Binns denied the visitors. LMS took the lead through Thomas Wolstenholme, but Wanderers were on level terms at half-time thanks to a goal from Neil Rollins.

The second half saw both sides hitting the woodwork as they pressed for the winner. Mark Bingham lobbed the ball over Kevin Owens in the LMS goal to put Wanderers ahead after 80 minutes and when Rollins hit the post, it seemed that a goal was certain as the ball rolled along the line.

Skipton hit the cross-bar and the up-right before snatching an equaliser through substitute Paul O'Rourke.

Embsay secured a 4-2 win over Grassington. The home side's goals came from John Hillary, Steven Speak (2) and Reynolds. Alastair Scott scored both Grassington's goals. Referee Alan Robinson earned praise from both teams.

Skipton Town pulled off their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Grindleton with Andrew Hudson scoring the vital goal.

Gargrave also collected their first point of the season when they held Division One leaders Bronte Wanderers Reserves to a 1-1 draw. The game was deep in injury time when Wanderers' goalkeeper Lee Nelson headed home the equalier after Alistair Mitchell scored for Gargrave.

Second-placed Intake were beaten 2-1 as Bradley picked up their first win of the season. Bradley were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to Ray Waddington and a thunderous strike from Neil Henderson. Mark Jolly was in good form in the Bradley goal though Intake did manage a penalty from Mark Roberts.

Cowling took advantage with a 9-0 victory over Hellifield. Graham Whittaker and Liam Marsh put them 2-0 up after only seven minutes. Whittaker made it 3-0 at the interval and later completed his hat-trick. Alasdair McEwan scored two and goalkeeper Dave Sutton scored from the penalty spot. Substitute Chris Galdes also scored twice.

Barnoldswick United beat Embsay Reserves 2-1 with David Cockell equalising after Dave Painter put Embsay ahead. Darren Richards scored the winner.

Oxenhope Rec Reserves maintained their lead at the top of Division Two with a 2-0 win at Silsden Athletic. They missed a first half penalty but Steven Buckley scored two late goals.

Bradley claimed their first point of the season in a 4-4 draw at Grindleton. Two goals from Paul Bretherton and others from Steven Pinder and Daniel Fawcette should have been enough to account for the bottom club.

A goal from Paul Hunt and two from Robert Spencer kept Bradley in the hunt and two minutes from time David Scrivenor deflected a Hunt shot home.

Honours were also even as Cononley Sports twice came from behind to collect a 2-2 draw againt Lothersdale Athletic. James Green put Athletic ahead, only for Wayne Fisher to equalise by half-time. John Hudson reclaimed the lead for Lothersdale, but Jonathan Hepworth saved a point.

Waddington and Sutton drew 1-1 despite both sides trying to play attacking football. Gareth Brown jnr headed home early inthe second half for Waddington and full-back Simon Cunliffe fired home a 20-yard shot to equalise for Sutton.

Glenn Atkins was the hero for Barrowford United when he found the target four times in his side's 6-0 win at Skipton LMS Reserves. Billy Gardiner also scored twice to emphasise the difference between the two sides.

Carleton Reserves completed a great day with a 6-1 win at Hellifield Sports Reserves. The home side battled well with 10 men and Kieron Warmsley scord their goal. Carleton scorers were Simon Cox (2), Gareth Wooler (2), Ian Poulter and Alan Bradley.

There were goals galore at Cononley Sports Reserves where Earby secured a 7-5 win. Cononley fought back from 6-2 down with substitute Chris Lumsden, scoring a hat-trick. They missed a penalty and Earby secured a late goal to make certain of the win.

Pendle Athletic beat Grassington Reserves 4-0. Man of the match Paul Sconce gave Athletic a 1-0 interval lead and Daniel Blackburn scored early in the second period. Further goals were scored by James Gibb and Paul Crew.

Skipton Town Reserves are still searching for their first win after a 3-0 defeat at Intake Reserves. The goals from Ben Hopper (2) and Russell Shaun were both scored in the first half.
