Skipton return to league action tomorrow with a daunting trip to South Yorkshire, where they take on current unbeaten league leaders, Dinnington.
Last season the teams met in the Yorkshire Shield and Skipton won the fixture 25-12, although Dinnington's team that day was perhaps not their strongest and rumours have it that this season they have recruited heavily, particularly from Rotherham.
"This will be a stern test of our resolve," says Chris Windle. "Unfortunately, Ian Scrivin looks like being out for a month with a torn groin and Anthony Maldera will be missing this week with a hamstring problem.
"Dinnington have had a good start to the season and ran Halifax very close in the Intermediate Cup last week. We will do well to return home with any sort of a result. However, one thing that can't be questioned is our team spirit, which has seen us through on more than one occasion recently."
The selected team is the one that finished against Halifax Vandals, with the exception of Phil Crossman coming in for Bob Birks, who is on holiday. Robbie King deputises for Scrivin, whilst Ian Sneddon plays at centre, with Adam Oldfield moving into Maldera's berth.
A complex situation has developed in Yorkshire One, where after four games there are six clubs locked together on two points, North Ribblesdale among them.
Things should start to crystalise tomorrow when another of the group, Selby, are visitors to Grove Park.
Ribblesdale can point to encouraging recent form and although they were edged out by leaders Sheffield Tigers, the Dalesmen followed up by grinding out a win at West Park Bramhope and showing considerable enterprise to overcome Ripon in last week's friendly.
A spin-off from the Ripon game sees Paul Ridgway retain his place in the centre after a late call-up last week and he now forms part of a powerful mid-field alongside John Walker and Stuart Evans.
