Strength conditioner Carl Jennings feels that Bradford Bulls' players were transformed from boys to men during their Grand Final victory.
Jennings, who is leaving the club to join former Bulls coach Matthew Elliott at Canberra Raiders next month, said: "I believe the players have faltered at the big hurdles over the last few years because they have been a young squad.
"On the big occasion the mental approach is the key, and when I wake up on the morning of a big match I am usually pretty uptight.
"But on that occasion I felt different - completely relaxed and 100 per cent confident.
"And when I got on the team bus I sensed immediately that everyone on the staff felt the same.
"There was an attitude of total calm, and that is when I realised we had peaked physically and mentally and that we were ready to win, and the players demonstrated that.
"The boys became men, but this is just the start."
Added Jennings: "I am leaving the Bulls for my own reasons - for the sake of my family, for the lifestyle and because I want to prove myself in the NRL.
"But I will take a big piece of Bradford with me. The Bulls fans are the best in the world."
