CLARENCE House's oldest resident turned 100 last week, and family and friends were all there to join in the celebrations.
Ethel Wadman, who lives at the residential home in Horsforth was treated to a special visit by the Deputy Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leeds, Councillor Frank Robinson and Sheila Robinson.
Daughter Maureen Pedder from Alwoodley visited her mum, along with grandchildren Alison, 41 and Mark, 38, great-grandchildren James, seven, and Ciara, two,
Other family members and close friends also attended.
The birthday girl received a card from The Queen and a telegram from Westminster.
She was also presented with a framed certificate and china brooch by the deputy Lord Mayor, Coun Robinson.
Mrs Wadman lived in Cookridge for 20 years before moving to Clarence House in 1998.
Liz Sweeney, Matron at the residential home on Clarence Road said Ethel could still get about the home.
She said: "Ethel is the oldest resident here, and she is a quiet and very pleasant lady who can still get around well despite her age."
