Bradford shoppers should expect wheelie fast customer service at the new Asda Wal-Mart Superstore.

The extended store has enlisted the help of two scooters to help customer service staff called Go-Getters get around.

The 90,000 sq ft Pudsey store is now the largest two-tiered supermarket in Europe and staff will use the scooters to help with requests and price checks.

But before being allowed to ride around the supercentre employees had to attend 'Scooter school'.

Tips included practising when the store was quiet and using the bell on the scooter to warn customers when they were coming round the corner.

Go-Getter Carl Walker, 28, who is pictured with a shopper, said: "There's nothing more annoying than getting to the checkout and realising you've forgotten something.

"This will help us to save people time and effort."

The store at the Owlcotes Centre is the fourth of its kind in the UK and has created 200 additional jobs.
