A Bradford singer is getting used to life in the limelight after taking his next step towards pop stardom.
Danny Tetley, 21, of Windhill, Shipley, is through to the last 75 contestants of ITV's Pop Idol show, which was entered by more than 10,000 pop wannabes.
And viewers will find out whether the former Salt Grammar School pupil - who impressed the judges at the show's auditions with his rendition of Anastasia's I'm Out of Love - has qualified for the final 50 this weekend.
Danny, who works as a professional singer despite being born with a cleft palate and harelip, said he was still getting used to being recognised on the street after his TV appearances.
"It's been mad. When I went for a night out in Leeds I couldn't have a drink or dance for people coming up to me, and I had people following me into the shops when I went to the White Rose Centre.
"Obviously it would be great to win it, not just for me but for Bradford itself.''
