Town Under-15s pulled off a thrill-a-minute victory over Brighouse who benefited from some recent defections from premier division outfit Elland Boxers.

Town established their dominance with an early try and survived a second half counter-attack from brighouse. Town's try scorers were Woollard 92), Duffy (2) and Haughey with Duffy adding two conversions. man of the match mark Holden had a top game in both attack and defence.

The team's resurgence continues and they meet West Bowling at Burgess' Fields on Sunday.

A fund raising Race Night is to be held at St Annes Social Centre, Spring Gardens lane tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm.

Lindley Swifts 10

Albion's youths kept up their winning run with victory over Huddersfield side Lindley Swifts and the Keighley side dominated the first half with John Papaila opening the scoring and Richard Windle scored his first try of the season.

Solid defence from mark Smith, Scott Bellamy and Nicky Lister denied the Swifts before tries from Colin Pickles, Hodgson and Lister gave Albion a 24-0 half time lead.

Lindley hit back with two tries before Albion's defence regrouped. Jason Battle and Alistair Beaumont scored the final tries.

This weekend they face Kippax at Cougar Park, kick off 11.30, when they will be looking to reverse their 18-14 defeat at the start of the season.
