A Bradford law firm is advising employers to make sure they are up-to-date when it comes to their workers' holiday entitlement.
Last Cawthra Feather is reminding businesses that new regulations mean temporary and short-term workers now have an automatic right to annual paid holiday.
Employment law expert Helen Rice-Birchall says companies who ignore the rules could end up facing a costly employment tribunal.
She said: "All employees have a right to four weeks annual paid holiday now, regardless of how long they have worked.
"Before the new regulations, employees had to work for 13 weeks in order to qualify for the entitlement, which was an obvious disadvantage to workers on short term contracts."
