Two of Bradford's leading law firms have joined forces to create one of the largest practices in the city.
Last Cawthra Feather (LCF) has strengthened its position with the acquisition of the Bradford office of Ralph C Yablon (RCY).
The deal will see both businesses operating from LCF's recently expanded and refurbished premises in Sunbridge Road.
It will also increase the number of partners at the firm, which has other offices in Shipley and Ilkley, to 14.
Managing partner Simon Stell said: "We have built up a reputation for being a very progressive and forward thinking firm and this acquisition enables us to further secure the future of LCF for both clients and staff.
"RCY is a long established Bradford firm and we feel that through its acquisition we will be in a strong position to move the business forward, and demonstrate that we are proactive player in the market."
Former RCY senior partner Robert Stewart, now a partner with LCF, said the move made sense for both prac-tices.
He said: "This move is a significant step for the firm and clients of RCY.
"By joining forces with LCF they will be offered additional legal strengths and even greater expertise within the profession.
"LCF is one of the most successful and respected firms in the Bradford legal market - so this is a very positive move and one which we think will benefit clients greatly."
Several partners at the two practices had enjoyed a long-standing association, he added, and were proud to now be working in the same team.
