A band of volunteers has launched a new shop to encourage healthy eating.
Pankhurst Pantry, named after suffragette Emmeline, will sell affordable, fresh fruit and vegetables to residents in Lower Grange.
The food co-operative is headed by campaigner Maggi Chapman, who has been working with Bradford health promotion team Heartsmart to improve people's diet in the area.
She said: "We are hoping to promote healthy eating and bring fruit and vegetables back into the community. People can only get to the big shopping centres once a week and haven't been eating right for years.
"This is a community, non-profit making project and the fruit and vegetables will be cheap and fresh."
The shop on Lower Grange Square will initially open for two days and evenings a week.
