Lucky Joanne Hannon was today taking her first drive in the car of her dreams.
The 49-year-old Grattan financial assistant was handed the keys to her new Rover 75, courtesy of Sunwin Motors, which she won in the Telegraph & Argus' 75th birthday competition.
Joanne's name was drawn from the hat by legendary film producer Lord David Puttnam at the glittering launch of the Bradford Can... Cancer Research Appeal. And today Joanne said she was just desperate to get behind the wheel.
"I just want to say thank-you to the Telegraph & Argus," she said. "The car is absolutely beautiful and I'm thrilled to bits with it.
"There are simply no words to describe how I felt when I discovered that I'd won. It is the first time that I have ever had a new car. The last one that I bought was 15 years ago and that one was already 18 years old."
