Pupils at Parkside School in Cullingworth have proved they know what is good for them by scooping a prize for back care.
The children won a competition organised by the Airedale Backcare for Children Programme to secure good posture chairs.
Joanne Campion, who co-ordinated the programme, said teacher Sharon Anderson decided to continue the scheme designed to reduce the number of teenagers who have damaged spines.
Mrs Anderson, pictured with pupil Chris Kenny, 14, said the chairs, which have a bouncy middle, had generated a lot of interest. The school, which received its prize on National Back Care Day yesterday, hopes to continue the programme next year.
