Brightly-coloured bins for unwanted tins of paint will spring up around Bradford from tomorrow as part of a recycling scheme.
The paint will then be handed to community groups, voluntary organisations, schools and youth projects in need of a facelift.
The Bradford Community Re-Paint campaign is organised by Play-space and Bradford Council and is being funded by the Bradford Envir-onmental Action Trust and Shell Better Britain.
Playspace organiser Steve Robinson said: "More and more groups are coming to us wanting paint to improve community centres. They have the volunteers ready but the paint costs money."
The collection points will be at household waste and recycling centres in Bowling Back Lane, Bradford, Dowley Gap, Bingley, Royds Way, Keighley and Ford Hill, Queensbury.
Only household paint will be accepted.
