Former England tourist Matt Greenwood thinks Henry Paul, pictured left, has 'a big enough pair of shoulders' to cope with the pressure of being called up by his adopted country.
The Bradford Bulls stand-off was named yesterday in an England squad of 26 to face Australia at Twickenham on Saturday, November 10.
And Bees coach Greenwood added: "He played for Bath in the 1996-97 season, but didn't set the world on fire, though he has obviously moved on a level or two since then.
"He is a world-class rugby league player - that is proven - but he has only played 80 minutes of rugby union this time, albeit it a very good 80 minutes in which he scored 28 points last Saturday for Gloucester.
"There will be immediate pressure on him, but he has a big enough pair of shoulders to cope with that."
Added former Wasps stalwart Greenwood: "Having seen so little of him playing rugby union recently, whether he starts against Australia - I would imagine at outside centre - will depend on how he fits in with the other backs and how he shows up in training.
"It will be interesting to see how he does compared to Iestyn Harris with Wales, and will certainly add spice to England's autumn matches."
