Pensioners have been invited to re-live golden holiday moments on a trip to "Bradford-by-the-Sea".
Pupils at Skerton High School in Lancaster, have organised a five-day package holiday to Morecambe as part of a GNVQ course in tourism and leisure.
The 15-year-olds attended Bradford City Hall yesterday to launch Vintage Vacations offering travel, three star accommodation, trips to the Lake District and evening entertainment.
Teacher Andrew Davidson said: "Morecambe was an obvious holiday destination for the older people of Bradford because it reminds them of good times they had on holiday when they were younger.
"The students have put an awful lot of hard work into this and everything has been organised by themselves. The main thing is that these people go and enjoy themselves."
It is the fourth year the scheme has taken place.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Ghazanfer Khaliq, who attended the launch with his wife the Lady Mayoress, Shahnaz Khaliq, said: "I think it is a great project and it's great to see the young people being encouraged to do something like this. It's great for Bradford and I know these people who go on holiday will really enjoy themselves."
The pupils will return to the city next week when they take part in a two-day promotion on Tuesday and Wednesday at John Street Market.
The holiday, which costs £99, will take place in February.
Bradford pensioner Brian Illingworth, who has been on the holidays in previous years, said: "They are always excellent and everybody really enjoys them. They cater for all our needs and I can't wait to go."
Pupil Natasha Preddy, 15, said; "I was really nervous presenting it to people but the holiday should be really good. We will go on tours, play bingo and dance with them. It will be like being a holiday rep."
Her fellow student David Stewart, 15, said: "It's been a lot of hard work but a great challenge and I'm really looking forward to it."
