The governors of a Liversedge school have invited Spen & Batley MP Mike Wood to share their celebrations of the progress the school has made in the last two years.
Two years ago, High Bank First School & Early Years Unit in Eighth Avenue in Windybank, scored an E* - a very low grade against all schools from similar areas for its Ofsted report. But this year, High Bank has been awarded an A* against like schools and an A against all schools.
Governor Gillian Ward said: "What the school has achieved in the last two years has been absolutely brilliant. There are really good things going on at the school now, but they have only achieved this through hard work and determination."
