Long Lee Under-10s C earned a 12-0 victory over Oakworth C with a good team performance. Daniel Clegg scored a hat-trick and Sean Quinlan also scored three and dominated midfield. Daniel Willoughby and Daniel Graham also got a goal each. Shaun Redman was in excellent form adding four quality finishes to take the man of the match award.
Long Lee Under-8s A beat Bingley 1-0 in a hard fought game to keep their 100 per cent record, and have still to concede a goal. The Bingley keeper was on top form keeping Long Lee at bay until Luke Narey scored the winner in the last minute. Dale Feather was man of the match.
Long Lee Under-8s B recorded a 5-2 victory over Bingley after a see-saw game. They went 2-0 up before Bingley drew level at the break. The second half again saw end-to-end play with Long Lee's sharp finishing making the difference. Goals came from man of the match Rhys Palmer (3), Sean Hallas and Owen Palmer.
Oakworth Under-12s came from a goal down to beat Bradford All Stars 4-1. Adam Spencer converted three of his many chances and Andy Fox scored the fourth goal. Midfielders laid the foundation for victory with Casey Dickson and man of the match Joe Hall outstanding.
Oakworth Under-16s scraped a 2-1 victory over Eccleshill B in an evenly fought game. Ross Greenaway opened the scoring with a great header after latching on to a cross from Thomas Woodward. Eccleshill equalised after a defensive mix up allowed an easy tap in. The match was won when Pat Carbury tucked away a penalty, James Greener was man of the match.
A superb team performance gave Silsden an overwhelming victory over Huddersfield side Lepton Boys in the first round of the Leeds United Millennium Cup. They raced to a 14-0 win with superb performances from man of the match Ross Croad along with Sam Dowgill, Luke Scott and Lee McGowan. Scorers were Lee McGowan (5), Andrew North (4), Sam Dowgill (3), Luke Scott and Andy Cooke. Silsden rock-solid defence was well marshalled by Hamish Munro and Gian Luca Consoli. Their second round game is on November 18.
