A volunteer from Bradford is the 50th Yorkshire Electricity employee to win an Ambassador Award.
Projects manager Tally Singh, of Undercliffe, has received a £500 grant to help with his work for children with special needs at the Priestley Centre.
Mr Singh has helped with educational and drama classes, with film and play screenings, for three nights and one morning a week for the last ten years.
He said: "It's great my employers are recognising the work myself and others do in the community.
"The money has enabled us to buy some floor mats and mirrors for the children's classes, and will also go towards a new lamp for the cinema projector."
YE introduced the Ambassador scheme to recognise community-minded staff.
