Some famous names from the West Riding are in Bradford's Pennine Radio studios in the coming weeks. Beginning next Sunday, Frazer Hines - Joe Sugden of Emmerdale Farm - presents a regular two hour record request programme between 12 and 2 p.m. Another Emmerdale Farm character, Bradford born George Little, can be heard on Pennine next week when he's Dorothy Box's guest on Saturday.

Two Bradford women competing in the National Motor Rally which began from Harrogate yesterday, are hoping that a trouble free holiday they spent together in Europe last summer will be a good omen for success in their present venture. The women, Miss A. Burnley of Toller Lane, Heaton and Miss P.E. Sedgewick, of Poplar Grove, Great Horton, who is co-driver are using a Rover car.
