Otley peace campaigner Helen John says she will press ahead with a planned all-women demonstration at Menwith Hill.
Ms John, vice chairman of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), plans to stage a demonstration outside the base on December 12 next year - on the same day in 1979 when the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher announced Britain was to have Trident Nuclear Submarines.
And in the meantime, she is calling on people against the bombing campaign in Afganistan to support her.
"Every responsible person in this country needs to put on the pressure and if necessary demonstrate real civil disobedience."
Ms John hopes thousands of women will join her outside the listening station next year to show their opposition, but says it will go ahead however much support is given.
Ms John, of The Oval, held a meeting at Otley Civic Centre which was attended by just a handful of women.
"If only two women turn up, that will be enough for me," she said.
