Jamie Peacock is hoping that Great Britain don't become 'one-Test' wonders again in the Guinness Ashes series.
The Lions have lost the last four series 2-1 to the Australians (1994, 1992, 1990, 1988), and the Bradford Bulls second rower is heartily sick of that losing margin.
"I am fed up of going down 2-1 - it seems to have been that way for ten to 15 years," said Peacock, who has been named in David Waite's starting line-up for Sunday's first Test at the McAlpine Stadium.
"We want to win at least two Tests, not just one.
"However, I feel that we are starting afresh as we haven't played them in a series for seven years, and it is a now a new era of professional rugby."
Added Peacock, who is joined in the 13 by clubmate Leon Pryce on the wing said: "It is up to the forwards to lay the platform.
"In most of the big games this is the case, and whoever gets on top there is going to win."
Peacock is also comforted by the fact that there are three of his clubmates on the bench - loose forward Mike Forshaw and props Paul Anderson and Stuart Fielden.
"That has certainly helped to make it easier for us all," said the Stanningley-based 23-year-old.
"I believe the team spirit is better than it has ever been in a Great Britain squad thanks to the international against France, general squad training and the week in La Manga, and hopefully that will hold us in good stead when things get tough."
