A woman smashed a ground floor window to escape from her home after a microwave oven caught fire.
She climbed out through the lounge window of the house in Highfield Lane, Keighley, when she couldn't find the keys to unlock her front or back doors.
Station Officer Ronnie Barker said: "We had received a report of persons in the house, but when we arrived the woman had managed to get out and was in the street.
"It seems she had put a pie still in its foil dish in the microwave, and it exploded.
"She couldn't find the keys to get out of the house.
"I would urge householders to ensure they always know where their house keys are and have them at hand, for use in an emergency ."
