Tribute has been paid to a Keighley mother-of-three who died in a road crash.

Marie Shelley, 31, was killed when her car was involved in a collision with a lorry in Lincolnshire.

She had been visiting the parents of her husband Brian, an RAF sergeant, at Willoughby.

Marie, a former pupil of Oakbank School, met her future husband in Cyprus during the Gulf War, when she was working in a hotel on the Mediterranean island.

The couple -- who married in 1995 -- had three sons, the youngest of whom was only four months old.

They lived at Bordon, in Hampshire, where Brian is based.

This week shocked family members spoke about Marie's "wonderful and caring" personality.

Her eldest sister Helen -- who lives near their parents, William and Georgina Currie, in Harewood Road, Keighley -- said: "She was an absolute angel and a real inspiration. She was up here just last week and when she left we hugged and I had a little cry. We were all very close."

Her other sister Claire, 38, had gone with Marie to Cyprus and met her own future husband Chez -- an RAF colleague of Brian -- out there.

"She was really special and lived for her family," said Claire.

"Marie was always thinking of others, but was a very private person. She was extremely loving."

Marie also leaves a brother, Stuart, 27, who lives in Haworth.

During a visit to Lincolnshire this week, family members placed flowers at the scene of the accident, which took place last Friday afternoon.

Marie's father said: "We wanted to see where it happened and pay our respects. She was a beautiful daughter and we are all very shocked."

Police say Marie died at the scene when her Ford Focus was involved in a collision with a Volvo lorry on the A1028, at Skendleby. The 53-year-old HGV driver was reported uninjured.
