Victoria won their first game of the season beating basement side Old House at home in a real family affair.

The referee failed to turn up and Peter Wilson stepped in to run the game with his sons Stuart and Martin both scoring in JPL's 3-0 win which brought the team its first points. Danny Claughton netted the other goal.

JPL should have scored a lot more but shot wide and blasted over the bar several times.

The only sour point in the game was when the Old House keeper dived for a ball, hit his head on the post and had to go to hospital.

Royal and Regent Victoria fought out a 5-5 draw with Regent taking the lead only two minutes into the game. Lee Newall slotted the opener but Spencer Harrison levelled from a free kick near the corner flag, which went straight into the Regent goal.

Robert Bedford restored the lead for Regent before Jamie Kirk and Matthew Cooke made it 4-1. Royal pulled a goal back before the break through Lee Bailey.

After the break it took Kirk five minutes to score his second and Regent's fifth. The points seemed theirs but slack defending and Royal's' fighting spirit gave them hope as Bailey scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and Gavin Schofield also scored to level the game.

Royal could have gone on to win but hit the woodwork a few times and the Regent keeper Steve Morris was also on form to save a point.

Wrose Albion had an easy win over Angel. They led 3-0 at half-time added a further four goals before the final whistle. Darren Townend led the way with a hat-trick and David Scott and Daniel McLennan both scored twice for Wrose Albion.

Boltmakers Arms and Oddfellows 2000 had a scrappy game which saw Boltmakers lead 2-0 at half time. Steven Bradshaw scored twice and John Kilby and Dave Greenwood both getting one each as Bolts secured a 4-1 win.

Silsden led 1-0 through a Michael Rosser goal at half time against Baildon New Inn in a close game. The Cobbydalers were a bit too strong for Baildon and ran out 4-0 winners with Rosser adding another and Martin McLennon and John Chapman both scoring one each.
